These two functions complement each other. The natural function is to maintain the product in a flawless state, providing the possibility of the completion of the social function; the social function is to ground the product to the consumer as soon as possible, making the completion of the natural function useful. As for a product, the natural and social functions of the packaging have a direct impact on the competitiveness of the product in the market.
